Despite a damp first day, attendance records were matched and surpassed over the three day show. An important event in Addington’s calendar, the Harrogate gathering is an opportunity to meet so many friends and supporters and to raise awareness of our work. In recent times, Addington has been increasingly busy across all parts of Yorkshire, helping farming families with their housing needs.
On the final day of the show, Ted Ogden and his colleague from Craven Cattle Marts auctioned off entries in the cheese show; the proceeds go to a charity selected by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Before this year’s auction commenced Nigel Pulling presented a cheque for £2,000 from 2016’s auction to Addington Trustee Christine Ryder.
Thank you to everyone who supported us over the three days and thanks to our corporate partners, Barclays, George F White, I’Anson Feeds, Strutt and Parker and Folk2Folk, and to The Sheep Show for collecting donations for Addington over the three days again.
