Welcome, Emily.

A little introduction from our newest member of staff Emily, who started with us on Monday 16th May, as our Operations and Marketing Coordinator.

Emily Egan, Operations and Marketing Coordinator

Hi, I’m Emily and I live in Warwickshire with my husband, Paul, and our three young boys – who keep us busy and on our toes!

I have been working in agriculture for the last 12 years. One of my biggest achievements has been working on the Women in Dairy project which connects women in the industry through events and networking.

It’s been so interesting to see a change in farming and be part of something which has encouraged women to step out of their comfort zones and build their confidence within not only themselves but the agricultural industry too.

Due to already working in the farming world, I’ve known about the work of the Addington Fund for a few years and think the sector is very lucky to have the support of such brilliant farming charities who can help with the specific needs of farmers and the rural community. Providing affordable housing for retiring farmers and new entrants is crucial to enabling succession and recruiting new blood into agriculture.

I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into this new role, getting out and about at events and helping to make a difference to the next generation of British farmers.
