Lindsey and Will Hitchen of St George’s Court bed and breakfast at Old Home Farm in High Grantley near Ripon, will host the event for a second time having previously served more than 200 breakfasts in 2011 to raise £3,350.

The three-day event takes place on January 23, 24 and 25, with two servings each day between 10.30am and 12.30pm, and 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Mr and Mrs Hitchen are long-standing members of Farm Stay UK, the country’s largest network of farm-based accommodation providers.

“We received tremendous support at our inaugural Big Breakfast seven years ago and hope for another bumper turnout again this year in order to raise yet more much needed funds for these two key and extremely worthwhile organisations,” Mrs Hitchen said.

The event is sponsored by Eura Audit of Ripon, with support from Gold Top Milk, Topcliffe mushroom grower Trevor Fothergill, Harrogate Spa Water, Miller Food Service in York, Bleiker’s Smokehouse, Leeming Bar, and Ian Taylor Eggs, of Burton Leonard.

Tickets, priced at £15 – just a limited number remain available – can be booked and paid for in advance by calling Lindsey Hitchen on 01765 620618, or by emailing info@stgeorgescourt.co.uk
