Support Addington Fund each time you sell at market

Our Give a Little Make a Lot scheme means you can help support our work every time you sell your animals at a livestock market.

You may already be familiar with the ‘Give a Little, Make a Lot’ scheme, which has been running for several years now. It began after the 2001 Foot and Mouth outbreak, when many livestock markets were forced to close and farmers faced the huge toll of the disease, but also the isolation that came from losing their regular market days. Addington Fund gave farmers vital support and this scheme became a way for them to give something back.

With the ongoing challenges in agriculture, and as we approach our 25th year, the need for Addington’s support remains as strong as ever. That’s why we’re inviting you to take part in the ‘Give a Little, Make a Lot’ scheme and help raise funds to support farmers and farm workers across England and Wales.

We’d like to thank the Livestock Auctioneers Association for their continued backing of this important initiative; their support is greatly appreciated.

How You Can Help

Each time you sell your livestock you pledge to donate:

30p per head of sheep and pigs

£1 per head of cattle

Your market will deduct these amounts automatically and send them to us, you only need to sign up to the scheme.

These contributions might not seem like much, but it all adds up to support our rural and farming communities in times of crisis - giving a little, makes a lot.

By donating to Addington Fund, you are helping us to provide:

Housing for farmers faced with the loss of their home through no fault of their own.

Emergency relief through Forage Aid when disaster strikes.

A New Entrant Scheme to help first-generation farmers to take the first step on the farming ladder.
