Addington Fund Sponsoring ‘New Entrant to Agriculture Award’ at 2026 British Farming Awards

Addington Fund is delighted to announce that, as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, it will sponsor the ‘New Entrant to Agriculture Award’ at the British Farming Awards.

The annual British Farming Awards brings together the farming and rural community to recognise and celebrate the achievements, innovation and success of those working across the industry.

The New Entrant to Agriculture Award celebrates individuals who have built a farming enterprise from scratch within the past five years, without the benefit of a family farming background.

The sponsorship follows the launch of Addington Fund’s New Entrant Scheme in September 2025. The scheme that is made up of small grants and starter farms, was established to support capable and motivated individuals pursuing their farming ambitions, regardless of their background or circumstances.

By sponsoring the award, Addington Fund wants to reinforce its commitment to supporting the next generation of farmers, while celebrating those who have demonstrated the determination, courage and perseverance needed to establish successful farming businesses from the ground up.

Business Development Manager Jo Webb said;

"This category perfectly aligns with Addington Fund’s commitment to supporting the next generation of farmers. The future of British farming depends on attracting talented people from all backgrounds. We are proud to champion individuals whose determination and entrepreneurial spirit reflect the very purpose of our New Entrant Grant Scheme."

The winners of the 2026 British Farming Awards will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on Thursday 15 October 2026 at The Vox, NEC Birmingham.

Addington Fund wishes all the finalists the very best of luck and looks forward to celebrating their achievements at this year’s awards.
