Raising a fantastic £12,464.65p in total for the Addington Fund at the Conference Dinner, we will be forever grateful for the kindness and support from all the NFU staff, NFU members and all the dinner guests who attended the evening and donated so generously.

Bill Young, CEO said: “We are absolutely ecstatic with the amount raised on the night of the NFU Conference Dinner and we couldn’t be happier with the way the evening turned out. The service from every member of staff was impeccable, the food from start to finish was delicious and the collections throughout the evening ran so smoothly. Needless to say, the collection wouldn’t have been possible without the support and guidance from the NFU team, the Addington Fund Trustees and staff, and our extra volunteers from The Farming Community Network, Forage Aid and Shakespeare Martineau.”

“As an industry we are very lucky to be so well represented by the NFU which is such a strong and well led trade organisation. Our leader Minette Batters is a true and excellent champion of the industry who fights for us all and is a wonderful advocate in these difficult and changing times. She fully deserves the applause and accolades she rightfully receives.”

“We are very lucky to have been the chosen Charity of the Year this year and we cannot thank our supporters enough for their support and well wishes for the future of the Fund. It was an amazing evening to fundraise and the entire conference as a whole was second to none. The NFU team should be very proud of themselves and we simply cannot wait to attend again next year and show our support for the event and the next chosen charity of the year.”

The Trustees and staff of the Addington Fund would like to take this opportunity again to thank everyone at the NFU for allowing us this amazing opportunity and thank you to everyone who donated to our amazing charity. All of the money raised will be put towards our next rural project, either disaster relief on farm or rural housing.

Let’s raise a glass for such a wonderful two days…
