Are you an ambitious young person with designs on a career in agriculture? We want to encourage the best young talent to bring new ideas and progressive thinking to UK agriculture so that they can, in time, make a telling contribution to the industry.

Young farmer planting

That is why we have recently launched our Young Entrants Scheme to match the candidates with appropriate farms that we acquire. Its sole aim is to help young people farm in their own right. We will prioritise support for ambitious first-generation farmers, who we believe can bring a different approach to running a business.

The scheme will be run with national partners including banks, land agents and retailers. In doing so, we want to give young entrants unique access to knowledge and expert advice that will help guide them as they build profitable businesses that will stand the test of time.

If you are interested in benefiting from this new scheme, please revisit this page in the future for details of how to apply when legacy farms become available.

You can make all the difference

Can you help? Our New Entrants Scheme is a major undertaking and it requires support and investment if we are to make a telling difference.

We are always looking for ways to raise funds and for volunteers to help this scheme gain momentum. Any legacies, corporate donations from company trusts and individual donations are also always welcome.
