2025 Dry Weather Emergency Grants

If you are a farmer in need, and struggling to feed the stock on your farm due to the ongoing drought, we may be able to help with a small one-off grant to prevent your animals from suffering from lack of feed or bedding if hardship is evident.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a working farmer and your main income is from farming an agricultural holding and:

·         have insufficient feed/fodder or straw to prevent an animal welfare issue with your livestock

·         are unable to purchase feed or fodder and experiencing hardship because of the weather

·         are unable to release funds yourself and mitigated against the situation by reviewing stock numbers in line with available resources

·         are unable to draw on any reserves/savings/or access an overdraft facility.

Priority will be given to those deemed most in need.

We are unable to assist when there is a loss, or reduction of, income due to market forces nor can we provide grants towards business debts.

                   

We make one-off grants up to a maximum of £3,000 to those most vulnerable. To apply, please complete and return our application form which you can download here along with the requested supporting information or email us for a form to be sent in the post.
