Peter Snodgrass MA (Cantab)

Peter Snodgrass

Peter Snodgrass is the Company Secretary for the Addington Fund.

He also works as a lawyer and leads the Agriculture Team at Shakespeare Martineau, based in their Stratford-upon-Avon office.

He advises on all aspects of rural property law, from farm purchases and sales, to rights of way and restrictive covenants. He is highly experienced in the complexities of family farming partnerships and has a particular expertise in tenancies protected by the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986.

His firm has been an NFU Panel Firm for 12 years and it is a member of the CLA, while Peter is a member of the Agricultural Law Association.

A lover of British landscapes, Peter has been a keen ‘staycationer’ for many years. He enjoys going to places with professional connections, as his agricultural work has involved him in cases in many parts of England and Wales.

In professional practice, he has seen many cases of farming hardship, as well as family farms which have no next generation successors to take the business forward. He is therefore delighted to be a trustee of the Addington Fund whose aims include tackling these recurring situations.
