Your last chance to win Cornwall’s Farmer of the Year 2023

Cornwall Farm Business Awards 2022 Guests at The Eden Project

The Cornwall Farm Business Awards nomination process closes on Thursday 13th July 2023, so there isn’t much time left to get your entries in to win the grand title of Cornwall’s Farmer of the Year.

Addington Fund made a visit to some of their farming category sponsors at the Royal Cornwall Show recently, and asked them to give three words they would use to describe the awards. Here is what some of the sponsors had to say:

Mike Pennington from Savills, sponsor of the Best Farm Processor category, described the awards as “fun, interesting and rewarding”, whilst Steve Harris from Saputo Dairy UK, Best Dairy Farmer sponsor, used the words “Worthy, Valued and Success”. Tom Tieken from Carter Jonas, sponsor of Best Commercial Farmer (shared with AMC), described the awards as “A worthy cause”.

Cleverly, Ed Humber from the NFU who sponsor Farming Champion, said the awards are good for “Celebrating Cornish Farmers”, alongside Peter Beaumont from Cornish Mutual, sponsoring Best Sustainable Farming Initiative, saying they “Engage community support”.

Our sponsors are truly passionate about the awards and are fully involved with supporting the farming community via the infamous Cornish fundraising event.

The aim of the Cornwall Farm Business Awards is to showcase the diverse talent of the Cornwall agricultural sector and to give those working in agriculture the recognition they deserve.

The awards evening gives the opportunity to fundraise for the Addington Fund to support those who need help within the agricultural community. All the funds are put directly into the charity to help those in need.

A huge thanks to all our farming category sponsors listed below:
